So, where to begin? I guess I’ll begin where it all starts and ends, which is that I am madly and desperately in love with my Savior who saved me through a grace that I didn’t deserve yet he unconditionally loves me despite what little I have to offer Him. The reason I am doing this trip is because His kingdom alone is where I am putting all my hope and faith, and I am so joyful that He will move through my service as I learn to pour out His love into others. I have recently thought about how others view me or what will my legacy or memory be, and the answer I discovered that I want to be known for is that all the days of my life I lived as a true man of God who seeked His will despite the cost, and a man who was known by his fruit.

A little bit about myself. I grew up in the snow-filled state of Michigan for 11 years and am a die-hard Michigan Wolverines fan (hope there’s no buckeyes out there haha). I was raised as a preacher’s kid and grew up in the church and lived a relatively normal life and accepted Christ at an early age, but I didn’t really come into my own faith until late high-school/early college. I moved to Chattanooga, TN, at 14 and have been in Tennessee since. I go to Middle Tennessee State University (just south of Nashville) and got my undergrad degree in accounting and will be getting my M.B.A. in December ’10. I have a twin sister, who I am older than by one minute, and she goes to the University of Tennessee. I especially love the outdoors and backpacking and love every kind of sport, especially basketball, soccer, football, cycling, ultimate frisbee, etc. I have really grown in my faith these last few years, but realize I still have so much to learn in my walk with God and am excited about this opportunity to really grow my faith.
I am a really easy-going, laid-back guy who just enjoys life, loves having fun, taking adventures, meeting challenges, so feel free to contact or approach me. I look forward to meeting everybody and will be praying for everyone about to embark on this adventure with me! Needless to say, I’m pumped!!!
Much love,
