my team!
You might think that I titled this blog "Feedom" because of the fact that I celebrated the 4th of July at The World Race training camp in Copperhill, Tennessee…actually, although the parallel is kind of fun, that is not the reason why.

I titled this post "Freedom" because I have experienced freedom this week like I have not experienced before. I danced…Yes, I danced! I raised my arms in worship to the Lord, I shouted praises, I shouted declarations of who I am and who God is whilie standing on chairs and logs, I slept in a tent in the middle of a huge wet field, I used a head lamp at night to find my way, I hiked around with a 75L pack on my back that consisted of all my belongings. I experienced the presence of God in a way I never have before as I worshiped with a group of people that will be my second family for the next 11 months…and so much more…there was joy, celebration, laughter, praise, adoration, loosing of chains, cutting of cords, and intimacy with Christ. The words in the chorus of one song we sang were: "Lord, set us free"…and he did. At one point when we were simply singing the chord "la" at the top of our lungs it honest to goodness sounded like angels singing.

Training camp has created a space for God to free me. He is breaking down my walls. Lord, please break them down even further. He is sustaining my body. Lord, please bring me even more freedom through healing.

This week has been AMAZING! There are still three more full days to go. I'll find out who my team of 6-7 squad-mates is tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to begin this journey with these people. I truely feel blessed to have the opportunity to go on the Race. It is going to be an experience that will change me and bring his Kingdom to earth and I can't wait for all God has planned. He is so good.

With love, joy and gratefulness to you all…
