Oh my goodness…where do you start…?
I'm Charlene…I grew up in LaVerne and Rancho Cucamonga, CA…moved to Seal Beach, CA in High School where I found my first church home at Grace Community Church…studied Communicative Disorders at California State University, Long Beach, CA…moved to Anaheim Hills, CA…recieved my MA in Communicative Disorders in 2006…made Mariners Church in Irvine, CA my new church home…moved to Irvine, CA in 2007 and worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at a private clinic until September 2010…in an effort to follow my heart and passion I left the field of Speech-Language Pathology to pursue an internship position at my church in Care & Recovery Ministry…learned about the World Race through my friend, Pamela, who went on the Race a few years ago…prayed for direction post-internship…and that brings us to the present…
NOW, I'm getting ready to go on this CRAZY adventure called The World Race!

- I have torn my ACL twice :0(
- I have Rheumatoid Arthritis
- I'm a morning person…yep, one of those!
- I love reading
- I love drinking vanilla lattes at a coffee house (usually Peets)…and reading or chatting with friends
- I've been blessed by Christian counseling
- I am one of those who enjoys sushi
- I don't enjoy the question, "What's your favorite movie?"
- In my immediate family I have a mom, dad, step-mom and older sister, bro-in-law, 2 nephews and a niece
- I seem to seek adventure
- I LOVE growing and embracing my identity in Christ
- I'm not a big fan of little dogs
- I went to Israel in April 2010…AMAZING!
- I am blessed by the friends and family in my life
- I enjoy a good workout
- I'm not a picky eater
- I have fears…but I like to overcome them
