Roofs, roofs, roofs….more roofs! In 2007 I had the amazing blessing to go to India with my church. There were a group of us so fascinated by looking at roofs and going on roofs. Chai tea was made on the roof, bathrooms were on the roof, collecting water was on the roof and even church services happened on the roof.

It was our second day in India; we had already had seen nearly 2000 people through the medical clinic, had tennis shoes taken to be worn by someone in more need, had an underground baptism service which could have put us all behind bars if caught, then we had a church service about a mile into the heart of the picture above in Dehli, India. I remember sitting on the roof and seeing a man next door listening to what was being said and realizing how costly this was. It was costly for these people to speak so bodly on their faith in a country were it was forbidden.

So often during times worshipping the Lord I see myself on a roof especially in India. I see myself undignified shouting the Lord's Holy Name from the rooftop. Shouting prayers leads me to another memory of India. It was early in the morning and the girl I was sharing a room with and I both heard a sound we had never heard before and were startled. It was a Hindu man outside on the lawn praying . I was surprised by his devotion and jealous of his passion.

Matthew 10:27 says, "What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs."

I love to hear the Lord speak and cannot wait to proclaim His truth, love and promise to the nations.

Yes, I know, even now, I can and try to proclaim His goodness, but next year it will be a year devoted to it…no more school, no more internship, no more work, (well it will all be different). I cannot wait to devote a whole eleven months to shouting the Good News!

Thank you for those who have helped teach me the good news, understand this truth and pray me through this life changing truth thus far. And thank you for those who have decided to go with me through your prayers and your gifts thus far. I pray you will continue to be encouraged to be a part of how God will move through me, through my team, through my squad and through the streets which will be full of dancing and hearts being turned to our most gracious Savior!!
