Dear faithful supporters,

Words cannot express how joyful I am by your generous giving. I am 41% funded which is pretty amazing! There is still a long way to go to be fully funded and I wanted to give you even more ways to support me on this journey. Below are a list of things I still need to be able to go on my World Race mission that are NOT included in the $15,500 I need just for the trip itself. When I add it all together the "real" cost is closer to $20,000 which includes, the following.

Gear: just the basics

  1. 50-60 liter Internal frame backpack-$150 PAID!
  2. 2 person, free standing tent(for my pack and I)-$150 PAID!
  3. Footprint for tent(goes on the ground to keep the bottom of the tent from tearing.)-$30 PAID!
  4. Sleeping bag-$150 PAID!
  5. Sleeping pad, a.k.a. my bed for a year-$150 PAID!

Travel:

  1. Plane tickets to training camp in May- $300 PAID!
  2. Plane tickets to Launch(where I will leave from with my team) in July- $300

Shots:

  1. I will be going to 11 different countries with many “new” germs and I would really dislike being admitted to a third world hospital because of sickness-$300

Insurance:

  1. This journey is nearly a year so insurance is a must. This covers any accidents and would get me to the best hospital possible in the event I became hurt-$300

    I have listed the items from most to least needed at this time. If you would like to support me personally by helping me purchase any of these things I would be very grateful!

    Note: the money for these items would need to come to me so I could personally purchase them. Please don’t buy any of the gear itself, for it all has to be tired on/out to ensure it fits me. The prices for all the gear are modest and will not cover all the costs. I feel the prices for the plane tickets, shots, and insurance are as close to accurate as possible.

    I just feel its important to let my supporters know that I am doing all in my power (speaking at churches, selling shirts, books, wristbands & my car) to put my own money into this trip. I do not expect, nor think it would be fair to have my supporters foot the whole bill of my trip without putting all I can into it. Rest assured that is what I’m doing!
