We had the opportunity be apart of Loi Krathong one of the biggest holidays in Thailand. It is a lantern and light festival in which everyone
lights candles or lanterns and lets them go into the sky or down the river. It
signifies the letting go of bad karma in Buddism.

Our team took the opportunity to be apart of it by buying
our own lantern and writing our prayers for the city on it. We lit our lantern
and watched it float into the sky with the thought that our prays will then
cover the city.

In watching all the lanterns my immediate thought was, “What
if the thousands of lanterns that have been lit during this festival all were
lit with a payer for this city on them? All the lanterns for Christ can light
up the darkness in this city.” In talking with my team we realized that we have
the amazing opportunity to talk with people here so that next year maybe a
least one more lantern can be lit for Christ. The festival was so amazing and
like nothing I have ever experienced.
