Hi all,
This past week has been more of the same for me. I’m still teaching English at a local church. We teach two classes which are attended by about 40 students and last an hour and a half. The students range from four year olds to their mothers. In addition to the age difference, the class is also varied greatly in previous knowledge. A couple of the students are near fluency, others can start a conversation, while some are starting from nothing. This difference has been difficult to overcome, but Grant (my co-teacher) and I are doing our best to cater to each student’s needs. My classroom Spanish is fortunately improving which helps greatly in conversing with the class. Not to mention, I bought them all churros the other night so I am now the cool teacher!
I’m still praying and thinking about the lessons God has been teaching me so be on the lookout for my blog next week where I plan to go more in depth about this month and what the Lord has taught me.
Please be praying for me, especially when it comes to relating with the kids in my class. Please pray for the health of my squad. I am currently healthy, but a lot of people have not been so fortunate. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!
