Hey Guys,

Christmas Break Rewind

So the time has finally arrived. Tomorrow, I leave for Atlanta where I will have a few more days of training and then it’s off to Ecuador. So, it’s time for a Christmas Break Rewind. A lot of exciting things happened over break: Harbaugh went to Michigan, I spent time with friends and family, I relaxed, Harbaugh went to Michigan, the Big Ten became relevant again, I finished my last exam for the year, and Harbaugh went to Michigan.

Commissioning

A huge thank you goes out to my home church where I was commissioned last Sunday. It is a wonderful feeling to know I am continually supported and prayed for by them. When I graduated from high school someone told me that that day wasn’t just about me but about my parents who made it possible for me to get there. In a way, I feel tomorrow is the same for my church family. While tomorrow will be about me in the sense that I am stepping into God’s Calling for this season of my life, it is also about them because they are the ones who have taught me to follow God’s Will and set examples for me to follow. So once again, I thank them for their support.

And the Top 11 Reasons I’m Leaving the Country Are…

This is my family, which I do actually love very much, reenacting the manger scene. We were given costumes randomly and asked to act out the story. My mom thought this would be a fun way to remember to true meaning of Christmas. However, I’m afraid this plan may have backfired because if anything this would make me want to forget the true meaning of Christmas.

(I was actually a little worried to post this picture because of the three good looking angels on the right. I hope Victoria’s Secret doesn’t call my brother, grandpa, and me up to be in the fashion show this year because unfortunately, my schedule is pretty booked so I won’t be able attend. Sorry America.)

Social Media

Big thanks to Maggie Tidrow who just welcomed me into the twenty-first century by teaching me how to use social media. So if you’d like to follow along on my travels be sure to friend request me on Facebook (Chance Minges) and follow me on Twitter (@cminges67) and Instagram (cminges67). As the great theologian, Brad Paisley said, “Glory, glory, hallelujah, welcome to the future!”

And Jim Harbaugh Went to Michigan!!!

God Bless and Go Blue,
