“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Mathew 7:7-8

The word that has been flying all over the place while we have been in Mozambique has been revival. Revivals in the past have been such as the Jesus movement but what does the word actually mean? Are we in the midst of revival?
For me the word revival means a re-outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a movement of God. Could what we have witnessed in Mozambique be considered a revival?

Since being in Mozambique we have seen over 700 people profess Jesus as their personal savior. We have seen two blind men receive sight, two deaf women hear, hundreds of headaches healed, back pains taken away and many heart pains removed. Under the definition that I just gave above I know this would classify as being an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a movement of God.

But, what really is revival and where does it start? One of the biggest revelations that I have learned being in Mozambique is to never stop crying out for more of God. When you walk with God you realize that you are caught up in a love affair with Him. He is madly in love with you and wants nothing but you to get closer to him and will give you everything that you need to do that.

Revival truly begins with God’s children. Do we really want to see the movement of God? Are we willing to get on our hands and knees and cry out for nations to be saved, for people to come to the realization of Christ, for sicknesses to be healed and for us to see more of God?

Those are some of the questions that hit me square in the face. I have realized that revival is started with the Body of Christ. Jesus literally lives in us and we as believers have to want more of God. We literally have to live as Jesus did and cry out for more of our Father so that His will be done. We have to get past ourselves and worship God in Spirit and truth with our entire beings.

The movement of God not only is rushing through Mozambique but it has engulfed 22 world racers. We have all been rocked, challenged, and completely broken for Jesus.
I know that what I am getting out of Mozambique is a new level of Gods love for me. I have never been more broken and challenged than I have been in Mozambique. As Paul would say, I count it as pure joy because I can see my character being tested and formed before my very eyes.

I praise God for this life changing experience in Mozambique and pray that He would send more workers to Mozambique.
God Bless.
