“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.” 1st Corinthians 5:18

Coming into Argentina our primary goal was to set out on spirit filled adventures to lay the foundation for the future of the World Race. Our mission was to find contacts that would support the World Race in future years.

As teams shot off on their adventures, I joined the media team with an adventure of our own. We started off in a chaotic hostel where people partied till 5:00am in the morning. We knew we needed a new home. We found that in a quaint hostel about a mile down the road.

The main reason that we knew that God was calling us to this hostel was because we had passed a Church that was two blocks away. The services were on Saturday nights, Sunday’s and Wednesdays. What would you know it; we were the loudest people in this joint.
We decided to check out the first night at the Centro Cristiano Principe De Paz and we came into something we had never experienced before. Young teenagers lined the church as lights flashed in the sanctuary. We stood in line to enter as three young girls placed glow sticks around our wrists. What were we going into? I felt that we were at some type of rave that was about to begin.

As we piled into the sanctuary, fog streamed out of a machine while young kids screamed and played all around. We looked at each other in amazement and all I could think about was some of my very religious friends that would absolutely be having a fit if they saw what was going on. Kids screaming and having fun in the sanctuary, a fog machine, glow stick bracelets, flashing lights all over the place, all directly in the center of a church building. Was God really anywhere in this?

I sat back with a smile on my face because I saw the heart of the Church. I saw a church that got down to the younger generation’s level and took them off the streets. I saw a church that showed that Christianity is not a set of rules or legalism that tells you exactly how to live the life. I saw a church that desperately wanted to connect with the younger generation.

That night was a night that I will remember because over 80 kids came forward to receive Jesus into their hearts. These kids have found a home that will accept them and show them the love that only Jesus Christ can bring.
We are in Argentina until Thursday and then we set off for South Africa.
God Bless.
