“…Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Mathew 2:17

Coming to Olivo Church has been a huge blessing to the entire B squad. How could we end up not having a home one night and then we have a church where the pastor gives complete control to people that he has never met. I am humbled by the opportunity that has been presented before us because this is only God who would open this kind of door. For Him to trust in us to reach out to the community is not something that I am going to take lightly.

The first event that was going to take place was a community outreach where a preacher was requested. I felt burdened to open up and take the position that was needed. Throughout the day I could feel the Lord burden me for the people that would be soon making a life change. I could feel that the Lord was going to move in great ways and through the prayer that was being placed on my heart, the heavens were going to open up.

As I sat in my quiet time, beautiful little children ran to and fro in the street without a care in the world. I saw Jesus in these little children and I cried to my Father in heaven that I wanted everyone to feel the way that I did, knowing that Jesus is the only answer in life.

The group assembled in a circle and we covered our event in prayer as the truck pulled up to shuttle us off. A year ago to this day I would be panicking on how I could make sure that everything went alright. The Lord has taught me that if my heart is in order and if I just trust in Him, He will take the reigns and everything will go exactly as He plans it.

We arrived and immediately were greeted by the local believers. I spoke in my broken Spanish and then we were off inviting the neighbors to the gathering. There were about 6 houses total in this community and about 4 out of the 6 attended.

We began and I was burdened to share the complete Gospel message and share some parables that Jesus shared two thousand years ago. I could feel the Holy Spirit drop because people were noticeably being convicted of their sins. Although there were many believers their, I knew that some had never truly accepted Jesus Christ into their lives. I shared how our spirits were corrupted with sin and that if we were not born again in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, we could not get into heaven. I explained that Christianity was not a religion, it was a personal relationship. It didn’t mean that we go through the routine of going to church or living a good life, it meant BELIEVING in Jesus Christ and choosing to personally accept Him into their lives.

Three people repented of their sins and accepted Jesus into their lives. On one of the cases Chris Telfer, who is on the media team saw a man sitting in the neighboring house and he heard the Lord say, “go talk to him”. He questioned but then understood that the Lord was not messing around. Chris obeyed and the man began to weep as conviction poured out on him and he asked the Lord to come into his life.

Only God can move in these ways. I do not have the strength to do what he has called me to but through His power the mighty name of Jesus Christ is lifted high.

God Bless.
