Our team went to visit Ankgor Watt on our day off during this month. This is one of the biggest temples in the world and is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Excited as I was, my eyes were open for divine appointments. People that I knew God would put in my path for the day.

We visited 5 temples total that day and on our 3rd stop I was getting shaky and my blood sugar was low. As we got off the tuktuk I found a fruit stand and quickly ate some pineapple and banana. We walked into the 3rd temple and as I was praying, it was like God shone a light on a man for me to talk with.

There sat a man, painting with water colors in the front room of the temple. I knew he was my divine appointment for the day. I ended up staying with him while the rest explored the temple. I started talking to him and realized that he had throat surgery.

His name is Karunthea. A 44 year old man, with 2 kids, a wife, and a part time job painting pictures of the temple he works in. He went to school for 10 years and has been painting for 16. I told him I love to paint, and he even let me paint a little colors on his paper.

He asked me about my paintings at home and we talked about 40 minutes or so. That was probably the most interaction he had all day due to people just walking by, ignoring his presence rather than acknowledging him.
It's easier in this day in age to ignore somebody selling something, because you fear if you acknowledge them they'll just bug you to death to try and persuade your business.

In the end I was able to pray for his throat, that he would be able to talk normally and without pain. It was a miracle I understood anything he said because he literally had no voice. God was my translator 🙂

I also prayed that his paintings and the talent God gave him to be creative would glorify God and not false idols. Please keep praying for Karunthea, that he would be completely healed and know of God's power and love.
