Malaysia left an imprint on me for sure, and us on them. They really value family and serving each other. This showed me that I need to step up my game and out-serve my team mates (& family/friends when i get home). They really showed me that even in a "poverish" land they thrive and Jesus is there. Jesus is amongst crime, drug lords, gangsters, etc.

(serving speaking and singing at local church with the kids)

(about to teach "The whole world in His hands" song)

(youth day with Malaysian teens, love these girls. that day we had a talent show and got to share some testimonies)
Our contact has a great testimony of a past of drugs & thug life of a gangster…yet God turned his heart around and He has the best theology I've heard. People like this inspire me.

(Pastor Thomas, his wife and daughter)
They don't have ready access to podcasts or sermons by Billy Graham, Clem Ferris, Michael Fletcher, Graham Cooke, etc. They don't really have "an easy meal". You, in America, can easily walk into a mega church or a small home church and hear a message someone else spent time on preparing.

(preparing to give my 1st sermon-on worship, I look mean eh?)
The "food is already cooked", all you have to do is "eat" (the message). Here, in Malaysia it meant letting God cook the food. Digging in the word and letting God teach you exactly His pure heart and how to apply His love and His life directly to YOUR life.
(people we prayed for constantly that month)
These people groups' strength inspired me. Malaysia, I'll miss you!
Oh and by the way….we ended our month by cooking a huge spaghetti dinner for our pastor and his family/friends..

(Morgan and I cooking spaghetti)

(painted her nails……to me this is building relationships ) 🙂

(and so I had to paint Vincent's party nail zebra print purple and pink)

…. but the best part was having a dance party afterwards. We taught our Malaysian pastor to do "The Wobble"!! haha
Aussie land here I come!
