Hospital Ministry Prayer Requests
Uma -She was having bad blood sugar problems and was incredibly weak.It was causing her to have extremely painful stomach aches. Her blood sugar level was at 29 and needed to be at about 5. It was really hard seeing how weak she was and knowing that she was in pain. She just looked blank. Myself and my teammate, Celeste, got to pray healing and hope over her. 2 days later, she was up walking around. She is still having stomach pains, but is feeling alot better.
Danny– This is Pastor Thomas' nephew. He has down syndrome and Dengai Fever.His pulse was jumping up to about 160 last time we were there, it was really hard to watch. He has been in the hospital for about a week now. Pray for healing for him and comfort/finances for his family. They have been up at the hospital with him this entire time.
Danushka– She is having problem with salt in her heart. Her mom is Hindu, but let us pray over her. This family is desperate for healing for their baby.
Saseulah– He has a really bad kidney infection. He is a fighter though. The whole time we were there, he was playing with his blocks. Yesterday we visited him again and he is doing sooo much better than the first time we prayed for him! His family was so excited.
Glory– She has 2 holes in her heart, lung problems, and is incredibly weak. The first day we were there you could see every single rib as she struggled to breathe. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to look at. The next day, when we went to the hospital, she wasn't struggling to breathe like she had been. Her mother said she had been doing better, since we came to pray over her. The third day we were there, her mom came to us and told us she was doing so much better and to keep praying. She hasn't been able to sleep at all and fell asleep as 2 of my teammates were praying over her!! Her mom is Hindu, but you can tell she believes in the power of our God!
Kahdasamy– Stomach pain and bad thyroid problems. He can't eat anything and is in a lot of pain.
Kesavan– He fell from a building and broke his legs, fingers, and his eyes are swollen up. He can't eat anything, so there must be some internal issues, as well. He has been in the hospital for a month. Pray that his pain starts subsiding and that he gets out of their soon.
Perakas– He was jumped and got badly beaten. He has severe head damage. He feels pain all down the side of his body and has been in the hospital for 22 days. Pray that his brain damage is healed and that he can go back to living a normal life.
Keep in mind, most of these families/patients are either Muslim or Hindu. They were willing to let us pray over them, though. Pastor Thomas has said that he has seen many people come to Christ this way. Please pray for healing for these children and that their lives will be testimonies of God's love. Pray that their families will finally accept the one true God. That they will just be overwhelmed by his presence and see that nothing else will do.
Malaysia is just entrenched in Islam. There is a temple by our house that shouts prayers 5x a day and they last about 10 minutes each time. We very seldom come across a Christian. It is a very heavy feeling to walk around and know that these people don't know God. We have had to try to minister through our actions more than our words, for safety reasons. I just pray that they see the light through us and that it leads them to the Lord. It has been an intense awakening to just how much this world needs Jesus.
Pray for healing, provision, protection, and most of all..SALVATION.
