Every country, every month, every ministry looks different. But I thought I’d give you all some insight on what my life has looked like this past month here in South Africa! Here’s a bit of a detailed account of my days 🙂

Our mornings usually start at 7:30 when the team all wakes up for a half an hour of worship, prayer, and reading the word together (our Monday, Wednesday, Friday routine). This has been an awesome time for us all to spend a few minutes together seeking and starting our mornings focused on Him and being together.

Depending on what day it is, is what ministry we go to. It could look like going to Global Leadership Academy, a local Christian school, that we are helping build a new school with. Where we spend the day, from 9-3, doing anything from moving bricks, painting, picking rocks out of the soon to be rugby field, stacking and sorting wood, or getting cement off of the walls. Other days we get to work with a different school named Nico Malan, where we teach a class called JOT (Jesus our teacher). We teach seven periods from grades 8-12, telling our testimonies, sharing biblical morals and just allowing them to talk and learn more about God. However if it happens to be Friday, which happens one of my favorite ministry days, we get to go down into one of the local shantytowns and put on a little program for the kids. Where we pass out fresh baked bread (that we help make at a local bakery), give out juice, teach bible verses, play soccer, and love on the kids for a few hours!

Evenings are spent, on Monday nights, at a local substance abuse meeting, that our awesome hosts run. On Wednesday nights we attend our own cell group from our church, where we’ve found sweet community. And on Sunday’s we go to morning and night service because our church here is such a blessing.

Those are just a few of the ministries my team and I have spent most of our time at this last month here. The awesome part is that at each place I have learned something new and have had to lay something down for the Lord. Whether it be my pride, my patience, my fear.. I am able to grow because each place has pushed me further and driven me deeper.

It’s not always a glamorous life we live, but it sure is an adventure that he’s called us into and I wouldn’t change a second of it for the world!

Keep my team and squad in your prayers as we travel to Central America for our last three months. Prayers for safety, divine appointments and preparations for new ministries and homes would be very appreciated.

 God bless!

Friday Kid Ministry with sweet faces like these!

Baking bread at the local bakery to pass out to the neighborhoods!

God also blesses us with an off day during the week where we get to go out and adventure or rest. This month I was able to go BUNGEE JUMPING! It was one freaking awesome experience.
