There have been many months on the World Race where I felt
like much wasn’t accomplished. I know
that’s not the case because I’ll never see all the fruit of the seeds
planted. But there are those months
where when I really sit and think about what I could see that was accomplished
while we were there and I can’t think of anything. This was not one of those months. Soul Graffiti and Radiant Change accomplished
a lot this month only through Jesus’ strength and determination.
Thanks to Jesus and His angels we were able to:
–
Dig trenches at the school
–
Redesign and rebuild the pig pen (thanks Cole!)
–
Share the word of God with impressionable children
–
Clean out and reorganize a huge closet in the
Baby House
–
Move a big pile of dirt on an old man’s land
that’s getting ready to build a house
–
Love on lots of sweet little angel faces
–
Saved the school and orphanage from being
destroyed by wildfire (2 of them)
–
Rebuild the fence surrounding the property that
was damaged in the fire
–
Cut down and moved a lot of banana trees that
were ruined in the fire
–
Painted a mural on the back of the building we
lived in this month (thanks Andrew!)
–
Helped kids with their homework
On top of all of that, we still had time to sit on the big
rock and watch the sunset or gaze at the stars.
It was a really good, busy last month in Africa.
