Our day ministry is much different than our night ministry.  We spend our days either doing manual labor at SHE’s new land or making cards and jewelry or baking with the Thai women that work for SHE.

On Monday, as the teams were out in the hot sun pulling weeds and building a bridge, me and Crystal were making cards with some women who work for SHE.  It was great to get to just sit down and talk to these women, who have found freedom from their bondage.  One of the girls was so cute.  All she kept talking about was how she wanted to visit America.  We kept telling her it’s not that special and not near as beautiful as Thailand.

Today (Tuesday) I joined the group that went out to do some hardcore manual labor.  SHE has bought some land and they are preparing it for building.  They hope to start building on it soon.  The ladies are digging up weeds and unwanted bushes while the men are building a bridge across some water they have on the property.  I actually really enjoy this kind of work.  I like getting dirty and sweaty in the name of Jesus.  The roots of those bushes were really long and hard to get out though!

So our schedule for the rest of our time at SHE will be alternating days and nights.  One day we’ll work during the day out at the land or here with the Thai women.  The next day we’ll go to Patong and do bar ministry.  Some days (like today) we’ll just do it all – work all day and go to the bars at night.  Exhausting but totally worth it!
