Ahh it’s official!! I actually have my team! My team that I will be ministering, living, and serving with for the next year!
I am on an ALL GIRL team! If you’re concerned about my safety – no worries. First, God will protect us as long as we’re doing His will. Second, we will have a contact (which will most likely involve a male) in every country and at every ministry site we’ll be working. And third, if we’re in a place where a male presence is necessary we will partner with another team that has males.

Now it’s time to meet team Blue Sky:
First we have our team leader – Chelsea Hughes. She is going to be an amazing leader! She is one of those people that was born to be a leader – it just radiates out of her. She really loves the Lord and pursues after Him. I have no doubt in my mind that she will lead us exactly to where the Lord wants us to go. She listens and follows what the Lord says. She also takes others into account. She’s not power crazy – she listens to us when we have suggestions or just need someone to talk to. I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes us through her!
Chelsea Brunts. Yes that is our second Chelsea…don’t worry nicknames are coming. Chelsea B. is just really full of excitement and joy. You really never know what’s going to come out her mouth next. She’s full of life and energy and definitely keeps us on our toes. I love that she doesn’t really seem to care what other people think and just lives her life. She seeks the Lord with her whole heart and His love radiates from her.
Cathy Ramirez. Cathy is the wisest one on our team. She will keep us grounded and focused on the task at hand. She’s level headed but also loves to have fun. She may not be doing the craziest thing but she will video every second if someone else wants to do it. She’s very supportive, giving, compassionate, and reliable. She provides strength and stability to our team.
Natasha Ritsema. Tye is the strong voice in our team. She’s not afraid to speak her mind to anyone. If God tells her to jump, she says How High? She loves being around people, loving on them, and talking to them – she has an open ear willing to listen to anyone’s story and give them support. The Lord definitely gifted her with compassion and love for others. She will be a great asset to the team since she seems to have no fear. She will bless everyone she comes into contact with.
Nicole Pearson. Nicole is the shy one of the group (rivaling me of course). She has such a sweet temperment. She truly loves everyone and desires to see them succeed. She has such a gentle spirit that is easy to open up to. She will provide compassion, encouragement, and comfort to everyone she meets. Christ’s love shines through her, and she is so beautiful.
All of us are different and unique. But it’s so awesome to already see how our strengths will cover the others’ weaknesses. We are a team divinely appointed by God, and we desire to seek Him and serve Him with our whole hearts during this next year. We are prayer warriors and support for each other. We also love to have fun and be crazy!! I could not have asked for a better team for this upcoming year! I ask that you would pray for each one of us as we continue to raise support and prepare physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally for what awaits us in January!
