I was at Land’s End this afternoon.
Land’s End on Bailey’s Island in southern Maine, that is.
While my parents searched out shells, rocks, and sea glass, I spent a few minutes quietly contemplating my surroundings.
Physically, I was at Land’s End, but I have been in this spot spiritually for a couple of weeks now.
My World Race is complete, and now I stand at The World Race’s Land’s End, staring at the ocean and wondering what it will look like when I land on soil again-
Because my heart longs to set sail, to seek out my inheritance as a child of God.
All I need is permission to go, and once I have that… I am gone.
I realize now, while I wait, that Land’s End is not the end of everything.
Land’s End is where the water begins, and Water’s End is where new territory begins.
There are times when one thing has to end so another can be birthed, and
The World Race chapter of my life has to end so a new chapter can begin.

Soon I will take the map pieces I have in hand, step onto my boat, and seek out this destiny waiting for me.
But, for now, it is time to rest and it is time to heal.
It is time to regain my bearings, and relearn how to listen for His voice in the midst of all the noise that is a part of American life.
Lastly, it is time to reconnect to the family and friends that I love –
To walk with them as they either seek freedom or reject it, and continue to love them regardless of the choices they make.
