just in time for me to leave for Georgia
for training camp in the middle of the month. Yes, that’s right – training camp
is nearly upon me, and I couldn’t be more excited! 110+ January 2010 World
Racers will be descending on Gainseville, GA
October 16th for nine days of training, equipping, praying,
worshipping, and fellowshipping together before we leave in January. Teams will
be determined, hearts and minds will be changed, and everyone will be on fire
with the vision of what God wants to do in and with us next year!
isn’t that far away, either. In just about three months… all of this will be
real life. No more preparing – I’ll be there. It seems so far away, and so
close at the same time. I’m thrilled that all of you will be following me on
this journey (or with me, fellow WRs who joined the facebook).
($1487.26 in the account as 10/03/2009)
are suddenly fast approaching. I need to have $7000 raised for my AIM account
by the end of November… which is just 8 short weeks away! If you’ve considered
financially supporting me, now is the
time when I desperately need you to do so. Even if all you’ve got is five bucks
tucked away somewhere… that could be getting me $5 closer to the $7000
deadline.
committed to helping me go on the Race. You guys are completely awesome, and I
love you so much. Thank you!
those of you who don’t know, last year I participated in an event called
National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write a 50,000+ word novel in 30
days. I did it last year, although the novel isn’t something I’m anywhere near
ready to share as of yet! And I’m doing it again this year.
preparations is crazy, which it probably is… but The World Race is just as
crazy. It’s also a great opportunity for you guys to support me on both The
World Race and NaNoWriMo!
word count. $10/hour or $10/500 words. If you want to take on a day or a higher
word count, send me an email, and we can figure it out! Either way, visit my World
Race blog, and click on the “Support Me” link to pay your sponsorship, and then
shoot me an email (or facebook message, or however you normally contact me) to
let me know it’s there and what it’s for.
counts come November. Bookmark it now and keep up with how things are going
both as I prepare and as I actually do it! http://catsnano.blogspot.com. I’ll post
to both blogs with your names as the end of November giving you props for your
sponsorship!

and bottles and get money back for them, but we can still take them to a
recycling center and get money for them. If you’re in Phoenix,
then I’m asking you to collect your cans and get them to me. If you’re
elsewhere (like, say, Flagstaff), then I’m asking you to get together, collect
cans, take them for recycling, and then send the money my way! Not only are you
getting me on the Race, but you’re doing some pretty sweet stuff for the
environment too.
September 12th to raise awareness about and funds for my World Race
adventures. It wasn’t a packed house, but the music was amazing. In all, six
acts sang and played their hearts out, and everyone had a little bit too much
fun for their own good. About $350 was raised (which isn’t much), and I
definitely learned a lot about how to put on a concert from the logistical side
– if anyone wants help in the future!

our fourth and fifth countries on the January 2010 World Race route. From

experienced one of the most gruesome genocides known to man where over one
third of the country’s population was slaughtered. Still in recovery from their
past, the people of Cambodia
are thirsty for hope.

fill in your email address. I have no idea what my internet access is going to
look like once I’m out in the field, or how much time I’ll have to respond to
everyone’s emails, so I may or may not have time/access to check my email or
facebook. This is your best chance to follow my trek around the world!
