Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll from India! Namaskaram.
It has been four months since we’ve been on the race and I just want to say, I’m so thankful and grateful for my amazing team…the Worthy Warriors!!! Living life together, loving on the world, sharing Christ, and so much more has drawn us so close to each other in many different ways! For me, community was not something I really had in my life…I feel like these months have made up for that so much! Although we travel so often and are constantly adjusting to a new place, there’s still so much consistency in relationship building and trust as a team and making memories together that just can’t be forgotten!
This is the first big holiday we have been away from home for, and it’s been tough. Emotionally it’s hard, not being with our families and doing what is tradition for each of us every year, but we’re making a fun tradition that can only be done on the world race for us!
I’m thankful for each of these women, strong and bold and brave as they are! Here’s to them……
Bet-any…. You is smart, you is kind, you is loving, you is an amazing cook! I’m thankful for all that you bring to this team, thank you for keeping us alive in month one by coming to the rescue with all the amazing meals you cooked up! For me, you’ve showed strength and bravery by overcoming and stepping out when you have it on your heart to share truth and love to the team! YOU’RE GREAT!
‘Merica…. You. Are. Beautiful. I love your smile, it brings joy to my heart! I love your laugh, it makes me feel uplifted! The uniqueness you bring to the team is like no other…I see boldness in you as you walk this journey with your head up and heart open! DON’T STOP LOVING WELL!!!!
K.G…. You’re our blonde beauty! From day one at training camp we hit it off like no other! One of my fave first memories with you is sharing a double nest Eno at TC campfire, and managing to get enough sleep as we snuggled! I love who you are, inside and out, goofiness and all! You bring so much HAPPY to this team and always bring out the best in each of us! NEVER LET GO OF THAT!
J-Wat…. Princess (Rajakumari). Hey girl Hey! My very first WR bed roomy! You’re such a good storyteller and photographer, but even more than that….you’re an amazing person! I have really loved getting to know you more and more over these last four months and I look up to you (well, physically down but mentoring up! haha). You speak so well of your kids back home, they’re crazy blessed to have you as their teacher and guide! DON’T CHANGE A THING ABOUT YOURSELF!
Desire…. So, I just love you! Your strength is so prominent. You have been so encouraging to me, such a great listener, and love well. Getting to know you these last four months has been such a gift to me and I’m really happy to call you my friend! God has uhhhmazing things in store for you, just keep looking up! NEVER FORGET YOUR WORTH!!!
KRob…. Legitstick!!!!! Omgosh you’re amazing!!! As I’ve been saying, you’re like the little sister I never had! Watching you grow these last four months has been such an uplifting and boosting encouragement to me. I love you inside and out and you are funny!!!! You make me laugh and feel so loved…thank you for the random back scratches and the smiles you give throughout the day. YOU’RE HARDCORE AND AMAZING!
Each of these women have instilled something in me that has made me more of who I am today! The future is not in our hands, and sometimes that’s scary, but one thing I am sure of is I have six amazing ladies I can call on and come to when I have a need! That’s true sisterhood. That’s true family. That’s true love. And that’s what I’m thankful for.
