Hello from Malaysia! Well after many hours (48 to be exact) of travels we made it to our contact in Malaysia. We left Phuket, Thailand at 5 am on Sunday, then got on a bus at 7 pm to get to Kuala Lumpur but since we were crossing the border by “foot” we had some complications and ended up having to get a hotel and stay in Thailand for the night.

We got up at 5 am again and went to the border to get our passports stamped and pay a late fee because we over-stayed our visas.

Finally after that we took a bus at 10 am to Kuala Lumpur, got there around 3:30 pm then took another bus to Gua Musang, Malaysia and arrived at 3 am, this is where our contact lives. We traveled with one other team and they are staying in Gua Musang and we traveled 2 ½ more hours to get to our final location, which once I know the name of I’ll let you know lol. So it definitely was the craziest “travel day” that we have had thus far.

I’m so excited to be here in Malaysia and working with my new teammates! For those of you who do not know, at the end of last month we had team changes so I am no longer with the same group of people. My new teammates are Drew (leader), Ginelove, Jenifer (from my last team) and Austin (from my last team). We are going to be running an English class every Saturday and Sunday we are here, and through the week we hand out flyers and have a registration for the class. We will also be ministering to different people groups in the area, painting a mural on the wall in the center we work in, running a Bible study class for a group that meets in a hotel nearby and visiting the Indigenous people helping them paint and run a Sunday school class.

(Malaysia Train Station to get to our location in Kaula Lapis)
I will not be posting things to Facebook this month, including pictures, because I am going to be fasting everything on the internet except for blogging regularly and checking email periodically so I can keep everybody updated.

Please continue to pray for our new team as we adjust and get to know each other better.
