So far we are diving in head first! We left for India Friday July 6th at 11 pm (D.C. time) and arrived in Kalkata at 3:30 am (India time) on July 8th. Our first flight was 12 hours, our second flight was 5 hours and our last flight was 2 hours, then we took a 9 hour bus ride to Andhra Pradesh, India and arrived here today at 3:30 this morning (India time).
It’s hard to explain exactly what I felt on that first flight as I looked out the window while we were flying over the Middle East, but it was very surreal being out of the country for the first time.
Our ministry that our team we will be doing this month is church planting/evangelizing. We will be living in a village, going into the surrounding villages during the day and meeting and praying with people and inviting them to a night service where we will be worshipping, preaching and sharing the gospel every night in different ways. We are all nervous, excited and thankful for this opportunity as we dive head first into what the Lord has planned!
