So I re-read my blog from awhile back about actively trusting God and realized I wanted to follow up on that. (If you haven't read it check it out! It's titled Actively Trusting God) Over the past couple months God has taken me to a place contiued to show me more areas where I can put trust into practice. If I truely trust Him, then what I do will flow out of that trust. Well God has definitely been faithful and I am now seeing some fruit from trusting Him. For a late update, those of you who don't know, I got a job as a full-time substitute teacher at my old high school and I am coaching the JV Softball team here. Ofcourse waiting for God's timing wasn't easy, but so so so worth it! Because both jobs are for a school I will be done in the end of May which leaves me time to do a few more fundraisers and then get ready for launch in July! Praise the Lord for His timing!!!
Another thing I've seen is God's grace in getting things prepared for fundraisers and for the trip. By not just sitting back and making God do all the work, which I used to think was trust(but really it's just laziness) I have seen His grace through giving me energy for long days, and patches of time for planning and organizing everything that still needs to get done. Once again, pushing through and not giving up when feeling overwhelmed or sticking with something even if it looks like nothing is coming out of it, is just another way I've seen God's grace and been able to trust Him through these times.
God always has our best interest at heart, and He truely knows what is best for us. Meditating on this and knowing (not just head-knowledge, but heart knowledge) that this is true is extremely freeing and our actions will in turn flow from this knowledge!
