What happend in Malaysia?
well like always that spirit of God was definetly on the move. you couldnt miss it.
So our amazing contacts had us work in their business that they owned which was the cANTeen resturaunt, still cant believe they let us I think we may have some of the clumsiest people on our team… including me and I was the drink runner. Praise the Lord I did not drop one drink, Peter and Carol our contacts have an amazing ministry going on God has blessed them greatly with the resturaunt, their ministry is open to anyone and everyone from people living on the streets to people who work in business and come there to have lunch and even there staff. On mondays they have a bible study and wednesday nights have a serivce and its open to anyone who wants to go. So we had the chance to be apart of that and we stayed in the upper part of the resturaunt along with the people who worked there, every night when they were finished work they would come upstairs and over the weeks we had the opportunity to build relationship with them and get to know them it, Wati and Esther. There was one boy Ryan he wasnt a christian his religion background was buddism and Peter and Carol have been ministering to him for at least 6 months, we had a chance to talk Ryan and encourage him but one night he came to us while we were about to sleep and asks us what we think of him and what kind of person he was to us, he was just hungry for someone to just love on him and be noticed and we were all able to encourage him and tell him that he is an awesome person and that we love him and God loves Him to. That night he also shared about himself and all the things he as gone through and the stuggle that he was having and had a chance to pray with him. That was that and our team just continued to encourage him.. one night at Kennedy’s their brand new resturaunt that we help them open and worked in a couple days, we were hanging out trying to get people to come inside and eat, talking about silly things most of the time. I was sitting at one of the tables doodling in my journal and Ryan was sitting right across from me, he was writing on this paper and it said Ryan aka nobody and girl from the team Ashley noticed it and said “Ryan no thats not true, your a somebody” and just really asking and trying to figure out why he would right that and she was loss at word and she leaned over and said like cass help me out. Right when she said that something just ignighted in me and these words started coming from my mouth I just felt almost anger inside of my for the lies that the enemy was telling him, telling him he is not worth anything and that no one loved him. God just started speaking through me and using me. I cant say those word came from me because they were from God and those word that came from my mouth were directly for Ryan. After that it kinda was just kinda over and he had to run off because people came into the resturaunt. The next day we had to leave we were going to the jungle to do ministry for the weekend so that conversation was just kind of up in the air and while we were in the jungle I dont know what happened while we were gone but I think it was the second day we were there Amber got a text saying that Ryan got saved…… my mouth litteraly dropped to the ground I was soooo happy first words that came out of my mouth was Praise God! like God really spoke to him and this joy just took over my heart knowing that he is now safe in the arms of God and when we got back from the jungle we seen him and you could see an insant change in him the way he looked, his smile and the way he talked everything was just different. It was like we just seen a whole new person the Ryan i tlaked to that night a Kennedy’s is not the same person. I will always remeber these words he said, ” I know God will take care me” like what an awesome God we serve. A few days after he got baptized and that is something our team will never forget and that we had an opportunity to be apart of this special time for him. God made me realize that like what I say to someone theres always a purpose in the words that we say to people who knows God could be using them like he did for Ryan. Like always God seems to always WOW me in new ways!
