This weekend I did a garage sale with donated items from family and friends
I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone that donated items! It helped so much and I very much appreciate it!
Friday: We were running a bit behind because we had a few things to do in the morning and Mom and I were VERY stressed because we didn't have enough time to sort through all the items and organize them. Mom, My brother Jared, and I all said a prayer before that we had a successful garage sale and that we didn't fight with each other (which we tend to do when we get stressed)
We had a great sale with beautiful weather and people we're constantly stopping by and I got my flyers out (with my WR information) I had printed out 23 flyers and we ended up running out of them!
Saturday: Mom and I woke up AT 9am when the garage sale was supposed to start, we ended up getting set up about an hour late and it was really dark and dreary out and we were very worried about rain and around 10:30 it started pouring rain out of nowhere! We ended up getting blankets to cover all of the stuff up with (we had everything in the driveway) and I was discouraged and I was ready to pack up because it didnt look like the rain was going to stop so I said a prayer with mom and a few minutes later the sun came out and was so hot and bright that it dried everything up! It was still about an hour before we had any activity but around 12:30 we had about 10-15 people all at once!
So many heard me talking about my mission trip to others that they gave me donations AND bought stuff! One lady didnt even buy anything but she still gave me money for my trip. Another lady bought $20 worth of stuff and gave me and other $20 as a donation! It's so great that God is using my words to touch peoples heart and they feel compelled to donate!
Sunday: Today, Mom and I woke up extremely sick and I didn't even want to do the garage sale today because it's Sunday and everyone would be at church and with family all day but we decided to still go, I didn't have many people stop by and I didn't sell too much but I earned a couple bucks and every penny counts! (seriously, I'll even take your penny's!)
All in all, It was a VERY successful weekend and I met some GREAT people at my garage sale and I loved sharing my story and hearing theirs as well!
Praise God for providing for me and fighting off satan because he was CLEARLY trying to discourage me all weekend!
