Hi friends!  You may remember from my post about 5 Ways to Support Me BESIDES Donating Money that I mentioned something called Keys to the Kingdom necklaces.  Well, this post marks the official debut of my most exciting fundraiser!  I am now selling bronze skeleton key necklaces called Keys to the Kingdom to raise money for my World Race journey!  These necklaces are handmade and specially packaged with some pretty cardstock and one of my favorite Katie Davis quotes about the real meaning of home.  The message behind Keys to the Kingdom is one that has become particularly relevant to me during this season of staying, but my hope is that it will serve as an encouragement for all believers.

I wrote about the idea of home in a previous blog, and quickly discovered that I am not alone in feeling like my heart lives in many different ‘homes’ across the world.  Naturally, this realization got me brainstorming ways that I could encourage fellow heart-nomads with a reminder of our eternal, heavenly Home – and the idea for Keys to the Kingdom was born.  I believe that a key is the perfect symbol for home, and these gorgeous antique-style skeleton keys speak to the indescribable majesty that awaits us in the Kingdom of Heaven.  Here’s a little more insight into why I believe that keys are the perfect symbol of our heavenly Home-

A key means the door is always open to you.
A key means you are wanted and welcomed.
A key means you belong.

A key means you are trusted –
doors only have locks if they are protecting something valuable,
and you have been entrusted with something (or many things) of great worth.

A key means you are protected –
when the storms of life come (both the literal and the figurative ones),
you have a resting place you can run to and be safe.

A key means that you can walk right up to the Door and know that you are Home.

I hope that the story behind Keys to the Kingdom resonates with you, and I would love for you to share it with the wanderers and heart-nomads in your life!  And I’ll just throw out there that with the holidays just around the corner, these would make a great gift. 🙂  Check out my next post to learn how you can purchase your Keys to the Kingdom TODAY!

With love and wanderlust,
Cassady
