Each time I’ve rolled my hot pink suitcase through LEX to anywhere,
you have traveled right along with me.

You watched as the little Chinese ladies played in my hair, snatched the broken shoes off my feet and brought me new shoes.  You shed tears with the middle aged Ethiopian woman who was humbled by me washing her feet.  You were intrigued by the war dance of the New Zealand Maoris who breathed life into my nostrils and welcomed me into their land.  You laughed at the long line of Aboriginal children from Australia who waited to have me cornrow their hair.  You were marvelled by the little amount of food that stretched to feed hundreds of children in the villages of the Philippines.  You wept at the condition of the little girls in Cambodia who were victims of sex traficking.  You struggled with me as I went from bar to bar in Thailand speaking life back into the women who were forced into prostitution.  You felt at home with me by the Luos in Kenya who treated me like a long lost relative.  You shouted for joy in Tanzania when you saw the many children surrender their lives to God after hearing about Him for the first time.  You were convicted to be better stewards of your money when you heard of the Ugandans bringing their first fruits and laying them at the altar of the church.  A lump formed in your throat when you heard of the story of the little blind Romanian girl who formed her hand in mine to learn the signs to the song.  You were re-evaluated your relationship when you heard of our bicycle ride in Czech Republic teaching Relationship vs. Religion.  You sung along with the babushkas in Ukraine spoke their only english word, “Sing”.  You rejoiced at the many children who came to Vacation Bible School in Costa Rica

And you wept when  I returned to Kenya and found Sophy because  you knew the last thing she needed was someone else to abandon her.

You have been my support.  You have been my faithful readers.  You have been my cheer leaders, my prayer warriors, my encouragement, my rock.  I’m begging you to please not stop.  I’m going to keep packing my hot pink suitcases because I know that the talents and gifts within me must be used to liberate the daughters and sons of Kenya.  I have seen the injustice.  I have seen the corruption in the government.  I have witnessed the lack of protection for girls and boys who are being abused and I’m telling you today that this is not a movie I am sitting back to watch while eating popcorn.  THIS IS REAL LIFE and I have to do something about it!  My mind won’t allow me to forget the situation of my brothers and sisters in Kenya.  I have to do all I can to make a difference.

I am exhausting all of my resources here and I am asking you to step out on faith and partner with me.  I have organized a beautiful show for April 28th (4:30p or 7:30p) and April 29th (3:30p) at Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore KY, Royal Auditorium.  We will be using music, dance, drama, live art, poetry and spoken word to introduce to you our work in Kenya and give you opportunity to partner with us.

I would love to see you there.  If you are  unable to make it, please send make all checks payable to REDEEM WITH GOD and mail to 100 North  Central Ave; Nicholasville, KY 40356.  You can also go to www.Redeemwithgod.org and donate with a credit card using paypal.

Please pass this information on to everyone you know.  I know deep within my heart that I am to serve the children of Kenya.  I strongly believe that my team of 7 women are supposed to go with me in December to serve.  In order for this to happen, we need your help.  Please sacrifice fast food for a week, your favorite coffee, a new outfit, a movie ticket, a pack of cigarrettes, anything.

I’m asking you to make a small sacrifice so that we can serve those who are living without their basic needs each and every day.

I’m asking you to sacrifice something so that we can go and teach about the one who made the greatest sacrifice ever.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions: [email protected] or call (859)619-8480.  I would be more than happy to come and share with your congregation, business, or even your family.
