It was just another day for me.  Wake up to the music on my phone.  Reset the alarm three times and finally roll off the couch to quickly start the car, throw on clothes, brush teeth and rush to be at work at least one minute before shift.

I knew today would be a short day but busy due to our monthly staff meeting.  The meeting went rather quickly and then Dan, my boss, asked if he could share something from his weekend.  I was expecting him to tell us a funny story like usual or tell us what new resturaunt he and his wife tried out.  Instead his voice grew excited and his mouth anxious for each word to come across just right.  Dan and his wife decided to go to a conference this weekend at their church.  He explained the conference as unique to ones he had been to before.  Instead of staying in the church building the entire time, they went to the malls and grocery stores to practice what they were being taught.  They were being taught about God’s healing power and how He speaks into the lives of others.  Dan was there at Fayette Mall as they prayed over a former basketball player who had a torn ligament.  After praying over him, the man experienced a healing right before their eyes.  There were similiar stories like this throughout the weekend.

At the end, Dan decided they should have his wife prayed over.  She has always had one leg shorter than the other.  She has also had a curved back and neck that isn’t aligned so right.  Dan describes that in this moment they had more faith in God than they have ever felt in their life.  His wife was prayed over.  The Lord used a guy who touched her leg and it grew right there before their eyes.  It just grew.  Then by the end of the night her back was straight and her neck just right.  God healed her and increased Dan’s faith in Him.  Dan encouraged us in this staff meeting.

I left away with a stronger faith in God and encouraged to continue in the gifts He has given me.  I left reminded that there is so much God wants to do and  can do on His own but would love to use us to bring Him glory.  We are the hands and feet of Jesus.  There are people out there who need to know that not only can God heal them physically but He can give them strength only found in Him.  He can give them a freedom they’ve never felt before.  He can give them a confidence in Him.  Let us be always in tune with God, listening for his assignments and seeing them to fruition.
