I’ve been blessed to be apart of two home groups this month.  In our Uvaly home group is the most clever little boy.  My nephew is the only kid that has ever caused me to laugh as much as I do with this kid.  This past home group took me back to Wednesday night prayer meeting as a little kid.  Mario used to jump and silent fake shout while people would be on their knees praying.  He always knows how to get me laughing.  He could easily sit back down and keep quiet but trying to hold in my laugh, I’d eventually burst out with a screeching sound at the most inopportune time.  I’d get myself in so much trouble, having to sit in the front beside Mama.  Looking over my shoulder I’d see my brother with his sneaky, “I got you in trouble” grin.

Tuesday night this little boy had me in the same position.  He waits until Kristen starts a serious bible lesson to make funny faces at me.  Jeanne pokes me, “Don’t laugh.”  I tried so hard not to laugh.  I tried so hard to have all eyes on Kristen, giving this boy no attention.  Before I know it I feel my feet being tickled.  Thinking it is the cat, I kick softly only to find it’s the boy.  I still held in my laughter.  As  I’m looking at Kristen I can see him from the corner of my eye crawl on the back of the couch like a cat towards me.  At this point I lost it.  Leisa poked me.  Jeanne poked me.  I looked towards Hannah, whose face had turned red from laughing silently.  And then it happened.  The screeching sound came from my mouth and I had to take myself to the bathroom to calm down.  That little boy is so cute but I will have to wear a blindfold should I go to home group ever again.
