I Love Romanian People
Today was our first day out doing ministry. We got to go alongside Billy’s team of girls. Our ministry sort of felt like we were in Uganda due to leaving late, pulling over on the side of the road to talk to random people, and just standing around waiting once we got there. I still don’t know why we were at the first house.
It was so funny watching Hannah jump in- getting on the roof to help those who were fixing it. She is always so helpful to others. I was loving the babushkas. these old Romanian women are so beautiful. After the first home, we walked through the neighborhood to invite people to the church service. We came across an older woman with diabetes who wanted so badly to go to church but couldn’t. We prayed over her body and she ended up in tears.
Many women met us on the streets and just kissed both our cheeks, pulling us close to them. The children were so beautiful.
Our church service was awesome as they sang gorgeous Romanian ballads. A little girl with plaits to her behind came to lead two songs. She had the prettiest smile and the highest screeching voice. We taught them “Deep and Wide” which I believe the adults loved more than the kids. We prayed and were then on our way.
