This month the Lord has blessed our squad to see nearly 40 people baptized.  30 of those took place in the prison.  One of our teams took a bathtub over to the prison and baptized them.  Another baptism took place at a trash dump inside of a rain bucket.  4 were baptized at a pool and another in the ocean.

“Go ye therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING THEM in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  Lo I am with you always even until the ends of the Earth.”
– Matt 28:19-20
Ate (awte) Lydia’s children decided they all wanted to be baptized together.  We took them to a nearby swimming pool.
Four of us were given the great opportunity to pray as these children were placed in the water.

After arriving to a fun day at the beach, Megan, now a team leader, announced that she wanted to be baptized.

Sissy and Kyla (squad leader) were given the honor of baptizing Megan.
Sissy and Kyla prayed over Megan.

When we have done wrong, sometimes we walk around with it.  The more wrong you do, the heavier you feel.  There is no reason to carry this heaviness.  It’s easy to let it go.  See, years ago God, your creator, sent His only Son Jesus to be born, live a life without wrong yet die on the cross for your wrong.  The great news is HE IS RISEN.  When will you rise?  When will you decide that you can’t live life for yourself but for your creator?  When will you decide to ask God to forgive you for all your wrong?  He will do so graciously.  When will you decide to accept God’s free gift of His only Son into your heart?

The people in these pictures decided they didn’t want to wait.  They accepted God’s gift and wanted the whole world to know they did so.  They were baptized.  Baptism was a symbol of their new found freedom in Christ.  As they were taken down into the water, they took their old selves.  When they were coming up, a new person came up with them.
