Taking a walk around the schools in this decade differs from decades ago. Students are trying their best to control the classroom. Special needs such as ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, Resistance to Authority Disorder and many others label more than 25% of students in most classrooms. Teachers are changing their methods just to appease those students that “can’t” sit still for more than 10 minutes. So what is the solution?

Jackie, nearly 17 years old, has been battling cancer. She took a turn for the worse nearly three weeks before our departure from Australia. While Jackie and her family are not Christians, they were welcoming of our distant prayers.
As we were welcomed into the school by Wendy, we could sense the presence of the Lord. The school seemed calm. The school officials were pleasant and calm. Wendy knows prayer works. Because of prayer and the Lord’s hand, the principal of the school was healed from cancer.
After fervent prayers in Wendy’s office, she shared praise reports of God’s goodness. In the midst of her praising God, a young girl walked in. Wendy told her that we had prayed for Jackie. The girl said, “You’ve never prayed for me.” This girl mentioned she had never prayed before. God gave us the opportunity to pray for her right then and there. We were able to speak truth into her life.
While schools in America may never “officially” bring back prayer, it doesn’t stop us from praying.
IT’S NOT OKAY that students are trying to run classrooms.
IT’S NOT OKAY that some teachers are behaving unprofessionally with students and other teachers.
ITS NOT OKAY that some counselors aren’t having concern for “certain” students.
IT’S NOT OKAY that weapons are being brought into the schools and violence all around.
IT IS OKAY that we pray.
IT IS OKAY that we call out to the principal of all mankind. We know that HE is the only one who can turn things around. If God can heal cancer, He can heal ADD/ADHD and other special needs. Our children have to learn and we need to pray against distractions.
