Today is Thanksgiving Day.  As we gather at the table for dinner it is common for everyone to go around and say what they are thankful for.  Many would say “family, friends, etc…”  Last night at church a little girl said, “I am blessed.  Today I went to the park to run, climb and play.  I am so blessed.”  For this little girl to recognize that running, playing and climbing is a blessing from God, she has already acknowledged more than many of us.
Today as I eat our turkey, corn pudding, broccoli and cheese casserole, corn bread and many more items, I can’t help but think of those who can barely scrape up enough to get a bread crumb.

Many times we think, “Well what can we do about it?”  There is so much we can do.

Through the Gospel for Asia Christmas Gift Catalog, you can bring the joy of thankfulness to families in South Asia. For two widows in South Asia, receiving a pair of goats through their Christmas catalog helped ensure a steady flow of income. After their husbands died, Kashvi Shanti and Janya Prachi were left to try to earn their daily keep. But being advanced in age, it was difficult for them.

When Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries presented the goats to these women, they received the gifts with much joy! They knew the goats’ milk and offspring would be a great source of revenue for them and their families. Every day they praise the Lord of all creation for providing these goats.

You, too, can help transform a family’s life this Christmas and open their eyes to see the goodness of God. Not only that, it will give you something else to be thankful for!
