In part 1 I told how I exchanged the team I wanted for the team God wanted me to be apart of. I have already seen God work through this group of girls I’ve been blessed to be a part of. God is using each of us to not only empower one another but to empower those for the cause of Christ.
See, our idea was to sign up for a mission trip to 11 countries in 11 months. God’s idea was to begin the mission right in Gainesville, GA. We fulfilled HIS first mission of losing our own ideas and preconceptions for His by breaking down walls that had been enclosing us for years.
Our second mission was right on the streets, in the Hispanic Community. Before going out our team prayed together. We then sat quiet and just listened to what God had to say. God gave a few of us visions. We found that after walking those streets, majority of the images and numbers God had shown us were along our path of that very community. God led us to pray for several people. We were able to give hope to a community that is often ostracized. We even walked into a Mexican restaurant and built a relationship with the waitress. She taught us how to make tortillas and she even let us pray for her before leaving.
After returning to AIM, there were similiar stories of prayer and one fascinating vision that led to John Blair leading a gentlemen to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We trusted God like never before in this journey. Oftentimes we didn’t know where to go, so we just stopped and prayed, waiting until we felt the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Our God is a PRESENT HELP and wants us to wait on Him, listen to the Holy Spirit. He will direct our paths.
