Time seems to pass us by.  Seems like just yesterday I pulled up to training camp.  Now I’ve just pulled up to my warm home and parked myself in front of my laptop on my comfy sofa.  COMFORT!  Wow!  It suprises me.  The very thing I’ve taken advantage of over the years is what brings me the most comfort now.  I have found so much comfort in home, that my past has been comfortably on the warm sofa of sin.  I had to be taken away from a hot shower, blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, sink to wash my face in order to be washed with the Holy Spirit God had for me.

For 10 days I became part of the body of Christ, by way of Adventures in Missions.  I decreased self so that God could increase in and through me.  I lifted my hands in worship to God.  I made healthy living a moment to worship God.
Nature paints a true picture of God’s creativity.  This adventure with God has been so rejuvenating that I was hesitant to leave the rocks of Gainesville, GA. I didn’t want to part with my newfound teammates.

But Jimmy made the most profound statement in our prayer circle this morning.  He commissioned us to go and serve our communities.
God spoke through my teammate Jeanne Bensch when she read a verse she has been praying since she got accepted into the Race.

“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.  May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.  He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdome of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
-Colossians 1: 9-14

How amazing it is that through AIM God taught us His will, helped us get rid of our worldly desires to please him.  He gave us power by delivering us from the darkness we once walked in.  Most of all God forgave our sins, teaching us to forgive ourselves.

My mission for the next 9 weeks is to serve Jessamine County.  I will share with them God’s heart, God’s unconditional love, God’s forgiving Spirit.
