We were asked to write a blog about how we flet before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
I expect to see God move in ways I never thought possible. I expect to see healing take place, fulfilled prophesy, interpretation of unknown tongues. I expect to worship God even if I’m in a church that doesn’t speak my language. I expect to be brought down prostrate before the Lord pouring out before Him like never before. I expect to see people make transformations into new creatures for Jesus Christ. I expect to see God meet the needs of the people we are around. I expect to see a few loaves feed many.
I expect to build relationships with people unlike myself. I expect to cry on the shoulders of my teammates during homesickness. I expect to grow closer to the Lord by observing the relationships my teammates have with the Lord. I expect to become studious of the bible as my team studies together. I expect to have misunderstandings and disagreements with teammates but to ask forgiveness of my teammates and renew the relationship before lying down for sleep. I expect to be held accountable for my behavior by my teammates and I expect to hold them accountable. I expect to have a unity like never before and to clic with each individual on my team. I expect to have many inside jokes with my teammates and have no one at home understand them when I return. I expect to get lost at least once and cry uncontrollably. I expect to become best friends with my teammates and cry when we depart from one another.
I expect to hear from God. I expect to write songs, poems, letters, 334 diary entries, start a few books and gain great knowledge from 11 countries to write documentaries once I return home.
I expect to sing a new song unto the Lord. I expect to pray a new prayer and read new scripture. I expect to worship in a new realm.
Most of all I expect to come back a changed individual and to have brought about change in the lives of many!
