Hi there!

A lot has changed, and I need to do my best to keep you in the loop!

Here’s a little bit of info:

1.) I moved my trip back to September. I made this decision mainly because I need more time to fundraise. I have numerous fundraising ideas, but I’ve struggled with having the time and resources to bring these ideas into reality. It’s definitely crunch time because September will be here before I know it.

2.) With the delayed start date, my route has changed.
Here is the updated route:
Costa Rica
Nicaragua
Honduras
Philippines
Vietnam
Cambodia
Laos
Thailand
Malawi
Zambia
Zimbabwe

I don’t see the delayed leave date as a disappointment or failure. I actually have quite a bit of peace surrounding this decision.
That being said, I have to be mindful of how fast each day slips by.

As of March 20th, God has provided $2,100 in my fundraising account. (Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generous donations.)
$10,000 is due in my account before Sept. 1st, and the full $16,255 is due 4 months into the trip.

A few fundraisers are in the works:

-Large Garage Sale:

Copperfield subdivision (where my parents live) hosts an annual subdivision sale the first weekend in May. I’m taking advantage of the high traffic to host a (hopefully very large) garage sale. If you are doing any spring cleaning, I would love to sell anything you may have been considering getting rid of in this sale. 100% of proceeds will go towards funding this trip! I will be arranging a few drop off locations soon.

-Sponsor a day of ministry-see the details in the following post

As always thank you for your prayers. If you were looking for specific things to pray for, here are some ideas:

-Sometime within the next few months, I might be speaking in front of my church in LaSalle/Peru. Please pray for effective communication and willingness to speak openly since public speaking does not come naturally to me!

-Faith that it will all come together. I’m confident God called me to this trip. I even have a few stories I could share that speak to that. Our God is a provider, and faith is the only response I should have to His numerous promises!

Much love,

Casie
