Friends, Family, Supporters…

Today is one of the days where the World Race seems so near, so real, and so crazy. Yesterday, we sold my car; and I’m not looking for a new one. I’ve begun to try and fit a year’s worth of possesions into a 65 liter backpack (a much harder challenge than I imagine). Squatty potties and tarantulas are a part of my normal everyday conversations, and I wake up to 80 group text messages every morning from my squad.

And then there’s the fact that training camp is exactly 30 days away. In just 30 days I’ll meet my squad mates, hike through the woods, eat some crazy things, and do whatever else one does at training camp.

30 days. Am I scared? Not really. I have this fire to just go and be where God has called me. And I can only really give credit to the Holy Spirit for preparing me with braveness.

Psalm 91:1 says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty”…and THAT is what I plan to do. These next 2 months are going to be all kinds of crazy, but I will abide in Him; the only reason the World Race is happening.

Now, before I can launch after training camp, I need another $2650.

Am I scared? Not really. I’m confident that if this is where I’m supposed to be, then God will make it happen.

So, along with this update, I want to ask you to consider partnering with me in this mission. I have hundreds of Facebook friends and Twitter followers, family, friends, you name it. If just 50 of them gave $50, I am good to launch. OR, if JUST 25 of them gave $100, I’ll be on my way to India in July. Back when I first started blogging, I wrote a blog titled “Things are about to get awkward”. As missionaries, it is sometimes awkward to ask people to partner with us financial. But, remember, you are not just giving money randomly, you are joining my World Race team and literally spreading love and hope to the world.

That’s all for today. Thank you for following me on this journey.
