Everyone,
First off a huge THANK-YOU to each and every person who has donated, prayed, attended my benefit on Sunday, reposted my blog, whatever else you may have done…Thank-you.
I have realized more and more each day that the World Race isn’t just a one-person thing. When someone runs a marathon or any significant race, there are people all along the sidelines; cheering them on, giving them water, sitting at stations in case of emergency to bring them food, water, or in unfortunate cases, getting them emergency medical treatment. Going on the World Race works this way too.
As I most of you hopefully know by now, I am not literally running when I go on the World Race (thank-you Jesus). Metaphorically, however, I am running; and my training is happening right now. The mental, spiritual, physical, and financial preparation I am doing are all a part of my training. And each and every one of you are building blocks in that training. And back to what I said earlier, once I leave for the Race, all of my supporters at home are essential in getting me through; your donations of time, money, prayer, and resources are essential now and are going to continue to be essential while I run my Race. And for that, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and appreciation.
Here’s where things get a little crazy. Today is my last day for online donations to be applied toward my first financial deadline on September 26th. I am about $1500 away from that deadline.
$1500. Today.
If I gain 30 supporters at $50 a month, I will meet this goal, and also be half way to my next financial goal.
$50 equals: 1 Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks, 1 movie ticket, 1 Chinese buffet meal, and a dress from an average-priced retailer. Things that each and everyone of us buy each month, plus more.
If you feel led towards becoming a monthly donor, or would like to make a one-time donation, please go to the “support me” tab today. I am confident that God will provide a support team, as he has already begun doing. Thank-you for your willingness to consider partnering with me.
“And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12:1-3)
