I just want to drop a quick line about a prayer that I’m going to be praying. Today I met a man who is huge in both stature and faith. This man speaks, reads, and writes in at least two languages and has many life skills. When our group was visiting with him and some of his friends today, we were as much blessed by their faith and conviction as they were by our visit. This man made such an impression on me that I’ve committed to praying for him every day until October 5th. This is the day when he finds out wether or not he will spend more time in prison. He knows that he is a blessing to the other inmates and is a spiritual leader and brother to them. I will pray for him in the way that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego spoke to the king in Daniel 3. I will pray that God carries out His perfect plan in the life of my new friend. If God chooses to release him, then he will be full of praise; and if God says that he must stay in prison, then he will also be full of praise. This is an amazing man of God whom truly rejoices in hardships because he is able to be a shepherd. I am taking a very big page out of his book.
