Hey everyone,
I want to start out by saying thankyou so much for all the support and prayers. I could not be here without the help from all you you so I am so thankful for the oppurtunity to be out here doing a life changing thing. I am fully funded so I get to stay on the race for another five month thanks to everyone that was so generous in your donations. I can't believe that it has been six months already and I only have five more months left. It has been awesome so far and can only get better.

Malaysia has been a great month and I have gotten along with my team well and it was a smooth month. We started out the first week working in the st. Nicholas hospital for the blind. It was easy work cause the kids were out for vacation but we had a good time organizing their storage unit and helping them to be more organized which was work needing to be done. It was a great experience though. We got to eat lunch in the cafeteria there and to watch the patients navigate and eat gave me so much respect for the blind and the challenge of doing things that I don't think about without seeing. It was a good experience. The second week we did fundraising for children that need heart transplants at another local hospital. It was a fun experience and we would set up a table outside of the hospital bakery and would play the guitar and help with the bakery some. It was a good week but kind of felt weird asking people that are prob worried about paying for treatments and there own medical bills for money. But they were generous and gave a lot so it was a success. The third week was my personal favorite. I did work at the Kawan center for the homeless and would help make breakfast and serve the food there. It was a lot of fun and there would be maybe 60 to 90 homeless people there each day. We gave them food, clothes, and a place to rest. I talked with some of the people there everyday and became friends with a old man named Felix. He was a intelligent guy that drives a scooter for people and had a crazy life doing all sorts of work. It was awesome to get to meet him and here his story.

Overall it was a great month and we leave for Africa tonight and we go to Uganda Rwanda and Tanzania. I am really excited for the change. Thankyou again for all you have done to help me get here and your support.

Sincerely,
Carter
