with the babe’s first cry lying on the hay
to His final breath hanging on that cross
miraculous healings, words of conviction
full of truth, compassion, love, and mercy
fire in His eyes, life in His presence
that which we couldn’t understand or comprehend,
a seemingly upside down and backwards type living He showed us all
the words foretold, the prophecies fulfilled
the chief cornerstone rejected by His own people
the long awaited Immanuel, God with us, the word made flesh
the kingdom of heaven shakes earth
controversy and conflict
redemption and revival
the sky grows dark, the veil is torn, all of heaven cries out
the wrath of God is satisfied
the law accomplished, freedom reigns
death is defeated. victory is ours.
the old is gone, the new has come.
life and light.
the son has risen…
