Day Two:
This generation.
The future.
Future CEOs, politicians, parents, teachers, doctors,
lawyers, government officials, pastors.
We are the next to serve in office, to invent the next big
thing, to cure cancer, to start a movement. To dare to be different from what
the world says we are supposed to be.
A lot is weighing on our shoulders.
And most of us are missing what God is offering.
Declaration:
This generation will claim their inheritance as sons and
daughters of the Most High God.
“But as for you, the LORD took you and brought you out of
the iron-smelting furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of His inheritance,
as you now are.” Deuteronomy 4:20
“…because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of
God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but
you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “ABBA, FATHER.” The
Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we
are His children, then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if
indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His
glory.” Romans 8:14-17
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can
never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you.” 1 Peter 1:3-4
Prayer and declarations:
-We speak against timidity and call forth a spirit of
boldness
-We will not accept our past as enough or let it define us-
we are complete in Christ alone, new creations
-We reject false religions and the idol of ‘self’
-We will rise up as leaders, rise up as servants, rise up as
warriors ready for battle
-We will not accept being good as good enough
-Pop-culture and celebrities will not set our moral
compasses
-We will not settle for complacency, apathy or commonness
-We will bring godly, kingdom encounters to this generation
that will wreck them and everything they thought of ‘religion’ and life’s
purpose
-We will be a generation of worshippers reaching new levels
of intimacy with Christ than ever before
-We will not buy into the American dream, but rather live
out Kingdom dreams
-We will not tolerate we will love
So do what you’ve got to do. Stand on your bed or on a
chair. Go out on your balcony. Roll down your windows. Shout these
declarations. Claim them for you, for your generation, for the future
generations.
God has given us so much and we are missing it if we settle-
if we focus on ourselves- if we look to anyone or anything besides Him. We are
the world-changers, the atmosphere-shifters. We exist to bring God, our Father,
glory.
Don’t miss it. Claim your inheritance.
Let it be said of us, “Their ears had heard of you, but now
their eyes have SEEN you.” Job 42:5
