People should realize that WHAT WE ARE in our letters when we are absent WE WILL BE in our actions when we are present. 2 Corinthians 10:11
Today, I am making a promise, to God, to myself, to you, readers.
All to often I find myself being bold in type, yet timid in tongue. This is a conviction I’ve walked with for awhile now, but today is the day I commit to change, to take revelations beyond my blogs and into everyday conversations, especially when I return home and find myself surrounded by people who have not had the experiences I have.

Today, Carrie commits.

BOLDNESS.
Unashamed boldness for the gospel, the power of the Holy Spirit, the work of the LORD, the miracles of God. The change in me. The hard conversations. Speaking truth. Talking more about ministry and my spiritual journey than about odd foods, beds, and toilets. Instead of accepting this growth, change and opened eyes for a season, I am making it a lifestyle.
I will not allow someone’s background or beliefs to affect the way I tell my story- I will not cater as to not offend. Raw honesty will come from my lips about what I’ve seen, heard and experienced and express freely what it stirred within me.
I will not fear being misunderstood.
I will be like Paul, who spoke TRUTH without ‘fluff’, who boasted only in his weaknesses in order for Christ’s power to be more evident in his life.
I will not hide behind a computer screen- emails, blogs, facebook posts- or reserve authenticity for social mediums while I tuck my tail when engaging people face to face. There will be no facades or smoke screens. I will not be a wizard operated by the man behind the curtain.

I will be Carrie, servant of Christ, lacking all without Him, yet gaining all inheritance with Him, and forever changed because of Him, both on (computer)screen and off.
Both in absence and when present.

Will you help usher in this change?

This is the future me, sitting on a bench, telling my stories.
