Well folks, it’s about time you met the people who will be
joining me in this not so normal year of my life. They will be my family, my
brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, my friends. We will be together when
we haven’t showered for days on end and we’ll share meals that stare right back
at us. We’ll see change and heartache and share ideas and smiles and prayers.

May I now present (drum roll, please)— TEAM WRECKING BALL!

First off, let me share with you the meaning behind our
name. Wrecking Ball came from a song by Jonathan David Helser in which he explores
the idea that Heaven will invade Earth and change everything. It will wreck who
we are as believers, wreck people and what they know of God, and wreck the
world for change. We, as a team commissioned by the Lord, want to bring the
Kingdom of Heaven to Earth just as it says in the Lord’s prayer found in
Matthew 6:10, “Your Kingdom come”. And this isn’t a quiet whisper. It isn’t a
gentle nudge or a polite suggestion. This is a life altering, mind blowing,
idea shattering kind of movement. It is freedom. It is change. It is redemption.
It is getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. It is taking your normal
and making it different. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So let’s bring it.

The team.

Brittani Dunlap:
like me, she’s from Houston, TX but now at that school down in
Austin…Rivalries aside, even if she did go to the University of Texas, I love
this girl! She has got passion and spunk and a true heart that loves people
well. Brittani is a constant encouragement to me and to all who come in contact
with her. She is a leader and a friend. She has seen a lot of hardship in her
life, but has used that only to speak of the Lord’s faithfulness, never
doubting who He is or His role in her life. She is also crafty, loves to smell
good, a great letter writer, total people person, and way involved in Young
Life, an organization that God used to change her life.

Hannah Bashor: graduate of Lee University in Tennessee, this
girl loves kids, coffee, and a good book. Hannah is so lovable and a joy to be
around, someone I can easily talk life with. She is musical, artsy and
stylish-even after sleeping in a tent for days.  Hannah has a love for her Savior that is evident in her life
and in all she says and does. She is always someone you can count on for an
uplifting word and has more wisdom than she even realizes. She has a sweet
spirit, but don’t let that fool you, this girl’s got passion, too.

Sarah Knapp: Some may call her my partner in crime or my
co-dance party instigator and it all started the first night of training when
we were in the same torch-bearing group. She grew up in Marietta, GA and
graduated from the University of Georgia. She is pretty much quad lingual and
has a dry sense of humor much appreciated by myself. Along with her amazing dancing
skills and love for a good time, Sarah is very raw and honest with her
relationship with Christ and continues to show our team what it means to be
loved by our Father.

Mike Hall: Two words: Teddy Bear. Mike can always be found
with a big grin on his face and will make you laugh without even trying to. Our
team already has a long list of stories and inside jokes spurring from Mike’s
great one-liners. He is open, caring, devoted and has a huge heart. He is the
one keeping us in contact with each other, reminding us to be in constant
prayer for the things to come and for those around us. His passion for the Lord
and His people is recognizable from the moment you meet him. Like Sarah, he’s
also from Georgia- Warner Robins to be exact.

Charles McCall: A Middle Tennessee University grad who will
receive his MBA in December, Charles enjoys a good romantic comedy and long
walks on the beach…Ok maybe only half of that sentence is true. Charles is a
fun-loving guy who is always good for a laugh- sometimes with him, sometimes at
him. Either way, Charles is a true example of a Christ-like man, who really
seeks the Lord and believes in His promises. He cares for his teammates like
his own family and is already becoming a brother to me, one I respect. Charles is
the kind of person you really stop and listen to whenever he opens his mouth to
speak- knowing you will be blessed just by being around him.

So that’s the scoop on TEAM WRECKING BALL! I am beyond
thrilled by the thought of knowing/loving/sharing/smelling/laughing/crying/holding/hugging/praying/prophesying/declaring/healing/caring/changing/doing life
with these people who are my new family. This team is God ordained and God
glorifying
.

Kingdom come.
