Yikes. Neglectful on the blog much?
It’s been a busy month and I can’t believe we are nearing the end of November – a month and a half away from launch! I have been keeping busy with quite a few things this past month. I had a spaghetti dinner which featured dinning in a different culture at each table, a delectable cake table and my personal favourite, a condiments table featuring different sauces and toppings to add a signature touch to your dish. I did however purchase a ridiculous amount of lettuce. Yes, I got crazy at Costco. Guilty. Let’s just say thanks to the Tupperware fridge savers, I have been eating everything on a bed of lettuce the last two and a half weeks. But overall it was a wonderful evening where my friends, family and strangers gathered.
I was also blessed to speak at a women’s event at my church. Now I am not the public speaker, and I defiantly am not one to raise my hand first to share all my inner thoughts and feelings but God is slowly breaking down this wall I have built for myself. I can hear Him gently saying to me ‘Speak, I will be with you.’ If God used Moses with his stutter, He can use me with my mumbling. It was a fantastic experience, far greater than I would have ever imagined. But isn’t that just how God is – greater than anyone can ever imagine? Matching the strong inner desire I have to share His love and how life changing He is, He is guiding me each day. Praying for more boldness and awareness in my day to day, I have been experiencing different opportunities where being a missionary is happening now and not just in the 11 months to come.
With just shy of $4000 left to raise to reach the $15,500 deadline, I am now working on my last fundraiser of some wonderful handmade Christmas cards. Quite possibly my favourite fundraiser to date but quite frankly saying no to crafting? Nonsense. Inquires incouraged.
Now on to even more exciting things – itineraries and launch dates – oh my! I have found out I will be launching from Washington, D.C. on January 9th. My Dad and I will be heading out on January 5th to do some sightseeing together, and then some pre-launch training on January 7th. And now to leave you with the ever so anticipated race route!

*Bulgaria has replaced India. (Insert sad face here) God has already begun to teach me flexibility as our route can still change throughout the race at any point. Dearest India, we will meet one day and you can share with me your strong scents, beautiful people and hungry hearts for God.
