Training camp is almost here!

Still need to figure out how to put up my tent!!!
With a fabulous weekend behind me full of bake sale fundraiser, false alarm Monopoly winnings (what an incredible feeling… that lasted an hour…), family, fall fair, and oh course a turkey coma – it’s time to get ready for the weekend and week ahead. With tons of nervous/anxious/excitement rolling around inside of me, it’s like a fleet of butterflies have moved into my stomach! We found out this past week that our squad colour is green and my intuition sensors must have been pretty good because I have been gathering and purchasing quite a few things prior to this knowledge in green. Look who’s for once prepared before she even knows it! Seriously, this is a rare occasion.
Three hours later….I have finally packed myself for training camp. I LOVE compression sacks. I have never been a ‘light packer’ as I am one to ‘over prepare’, think ‘well…just in case’ or ‘have another options’ –who doesn’t like options am I right? So let’s pray that I can learn to edit a little more efficiently come January….and hope that I am not alone on this when I arrive tomorrow with a full backpack!
I am really excited to meet the teammates and put some real life personality to these names and faces! It’s like the first day of school. Making sure you make it to school on time (let’s not miss any flights), not getting lost while finding your class (finding the meeting point – prob hard to miss a bunch of people dress to rock the wilderness…), finding out who’s in your class, hoping you have friends to play with at recess, hoping your lunch was packed with delicious snacks (there are rumors of some interesting food being served to ‘train’ lol) and more importantly you come home with an A+! I am praying for God to use this upcoming week to help me and my squad by starting to and continuing to mold and prepare us more into the purpose He has in store. And do I think God is going to rock our worlds – HECK YES!!
Can’t wait to update you all on the training camp week and regale you with tales from Cherokee Retreat Center Georgia. Southern accents, red dirt, surprises around every corner – it’s going to be great J Keep me in your prayers and the rest of the crew as we take one more step towards making January 2013 official!
