If you were praying for traveling mercies, I thank you. They totally worked. Even though I went through 31 hours of airports, flights, train stations, waiting, annoying french people in the Paris airport… all went pretty well. Good attitudes from me and the team. About 31 hours in, we had a 9 hours train ride to look forward to. I was not…

However, surprise of all surprises, we had Harry Potter sleeper cars on the train. Yay! The bad thing was we were all split up. Boo! One of my male squadmates and I were booked in a room (?) with a middle aged Ukrainian couple who definitely changed clothes in the car and spoke 3 words of English, two of which were ‘Florida – petrol.’ This was the happiest I’ve even been to embrace a very awkward situation. A bed with 8 hours of no interruption… it was heaven. I’ve never been so on the side of not knowing the language. I think when I get back to America, I will have so much more grace for foreigners.
Кэри is my name in Russian. The people of Ukraine speak both Ukrainian and Russian. Then the gypsies also speak their own language. People in Ukraine often have 80’s haircuts and mullets. Most people have two names, like ‘Alexander’ will be shortened to ‘Sonja’ or ‘Sasha’ (I forget which).

The team and I are staying in a house. We finally got a translator last night at 9 o’clock at night- which made SUCH a difference. Our days are spent currently with some awesome, beautiful gypsy children. Hopefully I’ll tell you more about them later.
Currently we are on the internet in a dorm room of a student at seminary here. This is my view.

Sorry this is all so scattered. We are short on time.
