We spent the majority of Friday afternoon at the Tamar Bakery and in the midst of eating yummy lunches and taking care of things online [hooray for free wifi!], we witnessed the most beautiful display of God’s love.
Out of nowhere 4 or 5 women emerged from the back carrying a cake with candles and surrounded the girl behind the counter while singing Happy Birthday to her. As simple as it was, we were touched.
Imagine our surprise when the birthday girl walked up to our tables with a tray in her hand and a piece of her birthday cake for each of us!
“You’re sharing your birthday cake with us?” Mindy asked.
“We are all family!” was her response.
As the women gathered around her and prayed for her in Thai, we sat there speechless, touched and teary-eyed.
We are different ethnicities, come from different countries and speak different languages, but we are all washed in the Blood of the Lamb.
Shown in the simplest ways – we are family.
